Provably Fair Verifier

Don't trust — verify. This free tool lets you independently check any provably fair casino result using the exact same cryptographic algorithms the casino uses. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server.

How Provably Fair Works

Cryptographic Proof, Not Blind Trust

Provably fair gambling uses cryptographic hash functions to guarantee that neither the casino nor the player can manipulate a game's outcome after the bet is placed. Every result is determined by three inputs that are locked in before the round begins.

TL;DR The casino commits to a hidden server seed (by showing you its hash). You set your own client seed. Both seeds plus a bet counter (nonce) are hashed together to create the game result. After the round, the casino reveals the server seed so you can verify the hash matches.

The Three Inputs

Server Seed — A random string generated by the casino before the game. You see only its SHA-256 hash before betting. The actual seed is revealed when you rotate to a new seed pair, allowing you to verify all previous bets.

Client Seed — Your personal random string. You can set this to anything you want. This proves the casino cannot predetermine the outcome, because they don't control your input.

Nonce — A counter that increments with every bet. Combined with the seeds, this ensures each bet produces a unique hash even with the same seed pair.

Why It Matters

Traditional online casinos ask you to trust that their random number generator is fair. Provably fair eliminates that trust requirement entirely. The cryptographic commitment scheme means the casino mathematically cannot change the result after you place your bet. If the revealed server seed doesn't match its pre-committed hash, the casino is provably cheating.

This system is standard at crypto casinos. The house edge is still built into how the hash converts to a game outcome, but each individual result is verifiably random and untampered.

StakePrix
Provably Fair
StakePrix uses HMAC-SHA512 for all original games including Dice, Crash, Plinko, Mines, and Limbo. The server seed hash is displayed before each session.
1Open any original game and click the fairness icon
2Note your client seed and current nonce
3Click "Change seeds" to reveal the previous server seed
4Paste all values into the verifier above using HMAC-SHA512

BC.Game
Provably Fair
BC.Game provides full provably fair verification for all house games. Uses HMAC-SHA512 with the format: HMAC(key=server_seed, message=client_seed:nonce).
1Go to any BC Original game, click the shield icon
2View your client seed and server seed hash
3Rotate seeds to reveal the server seed for past bets
4Use HMAC-SHA512 with key=server_seed, msg=client_seed:nonce

FortuneJack
Provably Fair
FortuneJack offers provably fair Dice, Crash, and other original games. Uses SHA-256 concatenation for their classic dice game and HMAC-SHA512 for newer titles.
1Open a FortuneJack original game and find "Provably Fair"
2Copy your client seed and the server seed hash
3After playing, request the revealed server seed
4Verify using SHA-256 (classic dice) or HMAC-SHA512 (other games)

Stake.com
Provably Fair
Stake uses HMAC-SHA256 for most originals (Dice, Crash, Plinko, Mines, Keno, Limbo). Input format: HMAC(key=server_seed, msg=client_seed:nonce:round).
1Click the fairness shield on any Stake Original
2Your active client seed and server seed hash are shown
3Click "Unhash" or rotate to reveal the server seed

General Guide
Most provably fair casinos follow the same pattern. Look for a "Fairness" or "Provably Fair" link in the game UI. The algorithm is usually HMAC-SHA512 or SHA-256.
1Find the provably fair / fairness section in the game
2Identify the algorithm and input format used
3Rotate seeds to get the revealed server seed
4Paste everything into the verifier and check the hash

How to Verify Any Provably Fair Bet

This process works for any provably fair casino. The specific UI locations vary, but the cryptographic verification is the same everywhere.

1

Before You Bet: Check the Commitment

Before playing, find the server seed hash in the game's fairness settings. This is the casino's cryptographic commitment. Copy it and save it — this is your proof that the casino locked in their seed before your bet. The hash looks like: e3b0c44298fc1c149afbf4c8996fb924...

2

Set Your Client Seed

Most casinos let you set a custom client seed. Change it to something unique — your name, a random string, today's date. This proves the casino doesn't control all inputs. Also note the nonce (starts at 0 or 1 and counts up with each bet).

3

Play Your Game

Place your bets normally. Each bet increments the nonce by 1. The game result is determined by: Hash(server_seed + client_seed + nonce). Keep track of which nonce corresponds to which bet if you want to verify specific rounds.

4

Reveal the Server Seed

When you're ready to verify, rotate your seed pair. The casino will reveal the actual server seed for your previous session and generate a new hashed seed for the next one. You can now verify every bet from that session.

5

Verify the Hash

First, hash the revealed server seed with SHA-256 and confirm it matches the hash you saved in step 1. Then, enter the server seed, client seed, and nonce into our verifier tool to reproduce the game result. If the hash matches, the bet was fair.

6

Convert Hash to Game Result

The raw hash is converted to a game result using the first few hex characters. For example, for Dice: take the first 8 hex chars, convert to decimal, divide by 0xFFFFFFFF, and multiply by the roll range. Our tool shows these conversions automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions
Provably fair is a cryptographic verification system that lets players independently verify every game result. The casino commits to a hashed server seed before the bet, the player provides a client seed, and both are combined with a nonce to produce a verifiable hash that determines the outcome. Since the server seed is hashed before the bet, the casino cannot change it retroactively. This system is primarily available at crypto casinos for their in-house/original games.
After a game session, rotate your seed pair to reveal the server seed. Take the revealed server seed, your client seed, and the nonce (bet number) and combine them using the casino's specified hashing algorithm — usually HMAC-SHA512 or SHA-256. Check that the resulting hash matches the casino's displayed result. Our free verifier tool above does this calculation instantly in your browser with zero data sent to any server.
The cryptographic system makes it mathematically impossible for the casino to alter results after committing to a hashed server seed. However, provably fair only guarantees individual bet fairness — the house edge is still built into how the hash maps to game outcomes. A provably fair casino cannot selectively rig individual bets, but the game math still favors the house over time (just like any regulated casino). Also note: only the casino's original games are provably fair. Slots from third-party providers like Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, or Evolution use their own certified RNG systems.
SHA-256 is a one-way hash function that takes any input and produces a fixed 256-bit (64-character hex) output. It's used for simple hashing where all inputs are concatenated into a single string. HMAC-SHA512 is a keyed-hash message authentication code using SHA-512. It takes two inputs — a key and a message — producing a 512-bit (128-character hex) output. In provably fair systems, the server seed is typically the key and the client_seed:nonce combination is the message. HMAC-SHA512 is more commonly used at major platforms like BC.Game and StakePrix because it naturally separates the two seed inputs.
Major provably fair casinos include StakePrix, BC.Game, FortuneJack, Stake.com, Duelbits, Roobet, and several others. These casinos offer provably fair verification for their original/in-house games (Dice, Crash, Plinko, Mines, Limbo, Keno, etc.). Third-party slot games from providers like Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, or Evolution are not provably fair — they use separate RNG systems that are audited and certified by independent testing labs like eCOGRA, iTech Labs, or GLI.
